Rennie Automotive is a 7-person, family-run shop on Victoria Street North in Kitchener. Two generations of licensed Rennies, one rule: friendly and honest service, quality workmanship, and fair pricing.
Kim Rennie opened Rennie Automotive on April 1st, 1986 at the Texaco station on the corner of Highland and Spadina in Kitchener. It was a small operation: Kim, a single apprentice, and a phone.
In 1990, the shop expanded to a second location at 800 Victoria Street North. The reputation that drew customers across town was simple — a licensed technician would actually look at your car, talk you through what was wrong, and fix it for what they said it would cost.
In September 2014, the two locations consolidated at the current 1244 Victoria Street North shop. The bay count went up; the way we work didn't change.
Today the shop is run by Matt Rennie, Kim's son and a licensed technician. Matt's wife Rachel runs the office. Kim is still in the building. Two apprentices and the rest of a seven-person team round out the shop.

Every car is worked on by a licensed technician. Apprentices are supervised; nothing leaves the bay without a licensed sign-off.
If you want to see the worn part on the lift before we replace it, ask. We will walk you to the bay, hand you a flashlight, and explain what you are looking at.
Kim, Matt, Rachel, two apprentices, and additional licensed techs. We are deliberately not a chain. The person you talk to on the phone is the person who watches the work happen.
