Every car is worked on by a licensed technician — never an unsupervised apprentice — and signed off before it leaves the bay.

No surprise invoices. We call you with the diagnosis and the cost, separated by safety vs. preventative, before we touch anything.

The Rennie family
Two generations on Victoria Street.
Kim started Rennie Automotive in 1986. His son Matt, also a licensed technician, runs the bays today; Rachel — Matt's wife — runs the office. Two apprentices and the rest of the seven-person team round out the shop.

Kim Rennie opens the shop at the Texaco corner of Highland and Spadina with a single apprentice.
- 1990
A second location opens at 800 Victoria Street North to handle the growing book.
- 2014
The two locations consolidate at the current 1244 Victoria Street North home.
- 2026
40 years of Rennies under the hood. Matt is the second-generation owner-operator.
